A trailer in the Fenton area caught fire late Monday morning, requiring the response of multiple departments. Smoke was reportedly exiting the roof of a trailer at 62 Palmer Hill Road, and the home was severely damaged by the fire. No one was injured in the fire and the elderly woman living at the home was able to make it out safely. Departments from Port Crane, Chenango, Chenango Forks, Chenango Bridge, Choconut Center, Sanitaria Springs, and Harpursville all responded, along with State Police, Broome County sheriff’s deputies, and Broome County Fire Investigators.
