A pair of Newark Valley residents have been charged by Tioga County Sheriff’s deputies after allegedly stealing cash and jewelry from family members. 31-year-old Nicholas Sacco is accused of stealing $45,000 from a family member’s safe in Newark Valley. He was arraigned on charges of third-degree grand larceny in the Town of Owego Court and was sent to the Tioga County jail on $5,000 bail. In a separate incident, 22-year-old Serafina Brink-Andres of King Hill Road was charged Monday after she allegedly stole over $3,000 worth of jewelry from a family member in Newark Valley. She was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Newark Valley Court.
