Two people were arrested in Owego after drug paraphernalia was found inside their car. 37-year-old Misty Lawton of Mecklenberg and 26-year-old Michael Marshall of Berkshire were parked in a car in Evergreen Cemetery off East Avenue when they were approached by a Tioga County sheriff’s deputy. The deputy found several hypodermic needles, marijuana pipes, and a clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine. Marshall’s license was also suspended for failure to pay a fine and Lawton was wanted on an active warrant for failure to appear in court. Both were sent to the Tioga County jail on $10,000 bail.
