Legislators, law enforcement officers, and treatment facility administrators met with the state Assembly Minority Task Force on Heroin Addiction and Community Response at SUNY Broome last night. The main topic of discussion was the lack of treatment facilities in our area. Currently, there are some individuals seeking treatment for addiction who are being sent to Tompkins County. Last night was the task force’ last community forum. They will now go back to Albany with their findings.
