More information has been released on the motor vehicle accident involving a Binghamton police Patrol car on Monday night. Patrolman Matthew Hodnick was responding to a call with his lights and sirens on, when a civilian vehicle, driven by an 81-year-old man entered into the patrolman’s path of travel. Both vehicles received extensive front end damage. Patrolman Hodnick was transported to Wilson hospital for treatment of injuries and was later released. The 81-year-old man refused emergency medical attention, and was ticketed for failing to yield.
