New York State Police responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the Town of Dickinson this morning. 5 or 6 shots are said to have been fired at a vehicle traveling South on Glenwood Avenue just before 12:30am. Two individuals were in the vehicle at which the suspect shot. They attempted to drive away from the shooter, however, hit multiple parked cars, eventually disabling their vehicle. The victims then fled on foot. Glenwood Avenue from Adams Street to Prospect Street in the Town of Dickinson was shut down for several hours as State Police and members of a Special Operations Response Unit were canvassing the area looking for an adult male suspect. Authorities interviewed neighborhood residents as well as scanned the area for evidence. Several bullet casings were found in their search. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
