Binghamton will be the site of the New York State American Legion Convention for the 4th time since 1999. Nearly 1,000 people from across the state will converge on Binghamton for the 98th annual New York State American Legion Convention, the 96th annual New York State Auxiliary Convention, and the 42nd annual Sons of the American Legion Convention. The event will be held from Thursday July 13th through Saturday July 16th. Broome County Executive Debbie Preston joined in announcing the upcoming conventions yesterday by saying, quote “Not only will this be a large economic boost, but it shows people from around the state how much we care about our Veterans.” The conventions will be just a week after the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in Endicott.
