A Nichols man shot his wife to death and then took his own life Tuesday morning. The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office announced today that 60-year-old Leon Rogers shot his wife, Debra, to death in their home at 2359 West River Road in Nichols Tuesday. Deputies responded after a 911 call and found the bodies of the couple inside their home. Investigators say Mr. Rogers placed the emergency call before taking his own life. The Sheriff’s Office did not release a motive for the shooting.
