Family and friends of the victims, community members, and community leaders all gathered to remember the horrific incedent which took place on April 3rd, 2009. On that date, 13 people were shot and killed in the American Civic Association on Front Street by a lone gunman. An additional 4 people were injured before the gunman, Jiverly Wong, killed himself. Since then, a park remembering those who died in the incident has been erected at the corner of Clinton and Front Streets.
