$7,000 is being awarded to one Binghamton business to develop a gasoline-to-electric powered conversion kit for motorcycles. The Binghamton Local Development Corporation and SUNY Broome have chosen to award their 7th annual $7,000 grant to Next Wave Motors in Binghamton to bring this conversion kit to fruition. In order to win this local grant, Next Wave Motors needed to submit a detailed business and fiscal plan for their endeavor. While Next Wave Motors expects a majority of their sales to be to vocational schools, the conversion kit would also be available for sale to the general public as well
