Additional information has been released by authorities regarding the Mother’s Day accident which left a child dead. The accident occurred on East Maine Road on May 8th. Authorities say that 32-year-old Thomas Steyer of Binghamton veered into the oncoming lane where he struck a Toyota Camry being operated by 17-year-old Jontay Card, also of Binghamton. A 4-year-old was in the back of Card’s vehicle. The child died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Steyer was cited as being ‘at fault’ for the accident. He has since been issued 11 traffic tickets. No criminal charges have been filed.
