Lockheed Martin announced that 350 people from its Missions Systems and Training Division have been laid off. Workers in this nation-wide division were notified if they would be laid off on Wednesday. It is unclear how many were affected at the Owego plant. A low net income in the first quarter of 2016 for Lockheed Martin is said to be the reason for the layoffs.
