A project to install new water service on Lake Street in Owego has been postponed to next year. Village Mayor Steve May called WEBO today to say the project has been postponed until April of 2017. Suez Water wants to install a new water line and new services to all buildings. The project will require the street to be closed for a month, and also make it difficult for foot traffic to make it to the businesses along Lake Street. It had originally been scheduled for next month, but will now take place in the spring.
