The brand-new Tioga Golf Club will open for the season tomorrow in Nichols. The former Tioga Country Club has been renamed after signing a 99-year lease with Tioga Downs. Golfers will soon see a new clubhouse at the course on Ro-Ki Boulevard. Demolition has already begun on the current clubhouse to make room for the new structure that will include a dining location, pro shop, locker rooms, and a banquet space. Until it is finished, golfers will visit a temporary structure to pay for their round, which will also contain a small pro shop with drinks and snacks available. New golf carts are on their way to the Tioga Golf Club and are expected to arrive in May. Bob Taylor will remain as the head of golf course operations.
