Upstate Shredding announced on Friday the hiring of two environmental and health safety experts. According to the company, William Marzeski and Joan Roof will evaluate and enhance safety protocols and make sure that the highest level of safety standards are executed at all of the Weitsman facilities. The hires follow an accident in June that claimed the life of an employee at Weitsman Recycling on Main Street in Owego and a September accident at Upstate Shredding on Corporate Drive that killed an Oswego County truck driver delivering scrap metal.
