A Nichols man was found guilty on a weapons charge in Broome County court Friday. Theodore Cooper was sentenced to seven years in prison and five years parole. That is in addition to a 3-6 year sentence for a conviction in Tioga County. The Broome County jury found Cooper guilty of illegally possessing a loaded handgun. Cooper was arrested in July of last year.
