The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 49-year-old Marty Hayes of Wellsburg for felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon. An investigation began Tuesday after 38 caliber ammunition was found outside his residence. Hayes had been previously convicted of a crime was found in possession of an unlicensed 38 caliber pistol. Hayes was arraigned in Town of Southport Court and was released on bail.
