One woman was killed and a former Ohio State and Penn State football player was seriously injured in an ATV accident in Bradford County on Friday night.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 23-year-old Bloomsburg resident Alyssa Boyd was killed when an ATV being operated by former Southern Columbia High School football star Julian Fleming struck a deer in Columbia Township.
The accident occurred on Painter Lick Lane at around 8:13 pm on Friday.
Fleming was taken to Guthrie Troy Hospital with serious injuries. Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene.
They were not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the crash.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
