In an official release from the Sayre Borough Police Department, a former Valley resident, now residing in the Midwest, is facing several Felony charges following an incident at the Epiphany School in Sayre, PA.
Ronald Anthony Fiorello, 62, of Salida, Colorado, has been charged by Sayre Police with weapons of Mass Destruction – Bomb Threats (Felony 3); Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another (Felony 3) and Terroristic Threats Cause Evacuation of Building (Felony 3).
According to police, administration at the school received three emails Wednesday morning in which Fiorello threatened to blow up the school. The threats lead to administration at the school evacuating students where they were dismissed for the day. The threats also lead to the school closing for the remainder of the week.
Pennsylvania State Police brought an explosives detection canine to the school. No threats of explosives were found. Fiorello was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by officers of the Rapid City, South Dakota Police Department.
He will be extradited back to Pennsylvania at a later date.
