The Wyalusing Rocket-Courier will be welcoming new owners next month.
For five generations the Keeler family has produced the weekly newspaper, with current owner David Keeler taking over in 1980.
Keeler’s great-great-grandfather John Gregory Keeler bought the paper in 1894, just seven years after the first edition rolled off the press in 1887.
Now, the owners of the Canton Sentinel will be taking over the Rocket-Courier on Oct. 1.
The Sentinel will be absorbed into the Rocket Media Group with all coverage moving under the Rocket brand.
