Former DA Salsman back in state prison after violating parole

Former Bradford County District Attorney Chad Salsman is back in state prison.

According to the Wyalusing Rocket Courier, Salsman was remanded to the State Correctional Institution at Coal Township after violating his parole.

He was brought to the facility on Wednesday on an unspecified parole violation.

Salsman was released from state prison on April 18 after serving three years, nine months and nine days for the crimes of promoting prostitution, obstruction of justice and witness intimidation.

He was sentenced to 1 1/2 to five years in state prison for the sex crimes against five women in July of 2021.

Most crimes occurred while Salsman was in private practice before he was elected as Bradford County District Attorney in 2019.
