Bradford County held a kickoff event for the America 250 celebration on Tuesday afternoon.
The event at the county courthouse featured speeches from Pennsylvania State Treasurer and candidate for governor Stacy Garrity, State Sen. Gene Yaw, State Rep. Tina Pickett, County Commissioner Daryl Miller and Sayre Borough Mayor and local historian Henry Farley.
The national anthem for the kickoff was performed by Athens High School student Jenna Buck and Daughters of the American Revolution member Cindy Holdridge led the pledge of allegiance.
Bradford County will hold events throughout the year as part of the America 250 celebration.
