A Beaver Dams woman has been indicted in Schuyler County on multiple perjury charges.
The Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office says 53-year-old Etta Fitzpatrick was indicted in county court on 16 counts of second-degree perjury, a Class E felony.
Prosecutors say the charges stem from statements Fitzpatrick allegedly made under oath during police investigations and in petitions filed in family court involving claims of abuse and harassment by her ex-husband.
According to the district attorney’s office, the alleged false statements were made multiple times over several months in an effort to have her ex-husband arrested and prosecuted.
Fitzpatrick is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
