A Towanda man who was arrested in March for sending and receiving explicit videos involving young children has been sentenced to life in prison.

According to court documents, 62-year-old Robert L. Heath pleaded guilty on June 22nd to felony dissemination of photos or film of child sex acts or sex abuse.

Four other related charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal.

Heath’s arrest stemmed from an incident where a Texas-based Predator Poachers group reached out to Heath via TikTok while posing as a 13-year-old girl.

The Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation that led to his arrest and eventual guilty plea.

Heath was already on the sex offender registry due to prior offenses.
