An Ithaca teenager has been sentenced in connection with a fatal 2025 crash in Schuyler County.
According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, 19-year-old Michael Blake, Jr. pleaded guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and misdemeanor driving while ability impaired by drugs on June 4.
Blake was sentenced on July 30th to 2 1/3 to 7 years in state prison.
Blake admitted to consuming a combination of alcohol and drugs prior to a crash which claimed the life of his 17-year-old passenger Marcus Knight of Trumansburg.
The accident occurred on County Road 1 in the Town of Hector on Sept. 29, 2025.
