Bradford County authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal two-car traffic accident that occurred in Columbia Township on Saturday. It’s believed that 88-year-old James Schucker of Troy was crossing both lanes of US Route 6, from his mailbox on the north side of the road, to his driveway on the south side of the road. Authorities say that Schucker was struck by a passing Ford F-250 being operated by 23-year-old Dustin Pedro of Laceyville. Schucker, who was not wearing his seatbelt during the accident, died as a result of his injuries. The passenger of the Ford F-250 sustained moderate life threatening injuries and was also not wearing his seatbelt. No additional information is available at this time.
