A small plane crashed in Chenango County yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred in the area of 359 Hollow Road in McDonough. After an initial investigation, officials say that the crash occurred after the plane clipped tree branches while flying low so that passengers could take photographs. The plane caught on fire after crashing, however, only minor injuries were suffered by those on board. First responders say that the tree branches helped cushion the collision. The Greene Fire Department, New York State Police, and New York State Forest Rangers all responded.
