Police in Oneonta are investigating the death of a fraternity pledge at SUNY Oneonta. 18-year-old Daniel Michaels of Dix Hills, New York was found unconscious at Alpha Pi, an underground, or unrecognized, fraternity at the school. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead from cardiac arrest, from a combination of drugs and alcohol. The type of drug was not released, pending a full toxicology report. The investigation is continuing.
