It’s been seven days over the course of three weeks, and a full jury complete with alternates has still not yet been picked for the third murder trial of Cal Harris. As of last night, three additional alternate jurors were seated to jury, which made the jury a 12-person jury with eight alternates. However, two jurors were released yesterday. According to the court, other jurors who have already been seated are coming in for questioning today. The court is having another day of jury selection in case any of the jurors already seated need to be released. Yesterday, a little more than 50 potential jurors showed up at the Schoharie County Courthouse. The 12-person jury has been seated since last Wednesday, there has been three days of jury selection for just alternates. Jury selection will continue today, opening statements are now tentatively scheduled to begin tomorrow morning in the Schoharie County Courthouse.
