OFA senior sets new national lifting record

Owego Free Academy student Lindsay Field set a new national lifting record Saturday at Tioga Downs. The soon-to-be 17-year-old deadlifted 369 pounds, blowing away the record of 305 pounds for her age class. Photos from Saturday are available on the WEBO Twitter Account. Field  has been training to beat the record since March after school with the Indians Performance Academy and on her own. The IPA is a new partnership between the school district and United Health Services and is open to all student-athletes at OFA.
