62-year-old Gary Perine of Sanford was arrested for arson on Thursday by the New York State Police. An investigation into a house fire at an unoccupied house in Sanford determined that the home owner, Perrine, had purposefully started the fire inside his home on August 25th. Perine has been charged with felony Arson. The New York State Police were assisted by the Broome County Fire Investigator, Endicott Police Department, and the Binghamton University Police. Perine was arraigned in the town of Sanford court and was remanded to the Broome county jail with no bail set.
