More information has been released about the parole violations that sent former Bradford County District Attorney Chad Salsman back to prison.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, Salsman was returned to the State Correctional Institution at Coal Township on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for committing two technical parole violations.
Officials said Salsman’s parole violations included failure to refrain from owning or possessing any firearms or other weapons, and failure to refrain from possessing, viewing, listening to or reading any obscene materials or materials that depict or describe sexual conduct.
The violations could result in a parole hearing where Salsman would have the opportunity to explain the circumstances of those violations.
Salsman was released from state prison on April 18 after serving three years, nine months and nine days for the crimes of promoting prostitution, obstruction of justice and witness intimidation.
He was sentenced to 1 1/2 to five years in state prison for the sex crimes against five women in July of 2021.
