A 23-year-old Rome man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a two-year-old boy.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Elijah C. Yoder has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment.
Yoder is accused of whipping a two-year-old boy’s face and body with a belt while his mother wasn’t home.
The victim’s mother called state police to the Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, where her son was being evaluated for his injuries.
At the time of his arrest, Yoder was on probation for assaults in 2021 and 2024.
Yoder was remanded to the Bradford County Jail on $80,000 bail.
