Firefighters battled a blaze at the Catlin Town Highway garage earlier this week.
The fire was first reported at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
Firefighters found the highway department building fully engulfed in flames.
Fire departments from Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben Counties were called to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
