Ithaca PD arrests man for making threats against Tompkins County Department of Social Services

The Ithaca Police Department has arrested a man who allegedly threatened the Tompkins County Department of Social Services.

According to police, Richard Madorsky has been charged with making a terroristic threat, which is a Class D felony.

Police responded to the Department of Social Services on Wednesday. Due to concerns over safety of the employees and people in the surrounding area, the office was temporarily closed.

Madorsky was identified as the suspect and taken into custody. He was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $30,000 bail.
