Six Elmira residents charged in federal drug investigation

Six Elmira residents are facing federal charges following an investigation into a drug trafficking operation.

According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York, 40-year-old Eric J. Barner, 30-year-old Ashanique Graham, 51-year-old Geneno Mable, 28-year-old Matthew R. Swinko and 36-year-old Ryan Palmieri were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, 40 grams or more of fentanyl and a quantity of cocaine.

Authorities also charged 31-year-old Dominic Murphy with conspiracy, being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The investigation into the Barner Drug Trafficking Organization began in October of 2025.

Homeland Security Investigations, the New York State Police and Elmira Police Department were part of the investigation.
