A Painted Post man is facing charges after he allegedly used a frying pan as a weapon during a domestic dispute.
According to the New York State Police, 36-year-old Deshawn A. Williams was charged with attempted assault in the second degree and aggravated family offense, which are both Class E felonies.
He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at around 11:51 pm on Saturday, July 4.
Williams is accused of pushing someone against the wall and choking them. He also attempted to hit the person with a metal frying pan.
Two minors were present during the incident.
