The ACA Memorial Park was officially dedicated Saturday afternoon to the 13 lives taken during the mass shooting five years ago. Thirteen glass birds now surround a small park on the corner of Clinton and Front Streets in Binghamton. In the middle of the park stands a broken column, which symbolizes a life cut short in all cultures. Surrounding the column are thirteen plaques each with a victim’s name and picture so they will always be remembered. Construction is complete at the park, but the cold winter weather has pushed off engraving on some of the plaques. They will be completed as soon as possible.
