One of the alleged gang members arrested in Binghamton last month has been indicted by a federal grand jury. 29-year-old Derek Carr has been indicted in federal court for felony counts of drug trafficking conspiracy and carrying a firearm. Carr is believed to be a member of the “MacBallers” gang, and prosecutors say he distributed large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin in Binghamton dating back to 2009. He is now being held by the U.S. Marshals Service while he awaits his arraignment in federal court.
