A teenager has pleaded guilty in Broome County Court for shooting a man in June. 17-year-old Dajhoun Perez of Brooklyn has pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree. According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, Perez admitted that on June 12th, he shot 21-year-old Daquan Smith with a semi-automatic handgun on Roberts Street in Binghamton. Perez was taken to the Broome County Jail. He will await his sentencing scheduled for October 23rd. The court still has to decide whether to sentence Perez as a youthful offender or as an adult.
