The Broome County Humane Society will be moving across Binghamton. The Humane Society’s current location on Jackson Street is filled to capacity, which prompted a search for a larger facility. The Humane Society has decided to move their operation to Conklin Avenue in Binghamton. A groundbreaking ceremony on a two-story building is expected to be held in July, with the new facility expected to be up and running in November. The move comes after Matthew’s Subaru donated $21,000 to the Humane Society on April 12th. The money came from customer donations and a portion of proceeds from car sales.
