Yet another robbery took place in the Binghamton area last night. Just before 10:30 Monday night, Binghamton Police were called to the Mirabito convenience store at 1178 Vestal Avenue on the city’s southside. Dispatchers say a man armed with a gun walked into the gas station and demanded money. The suspect was described as white, standing 5 feet ten inches, with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing white sneakers, gray sweatpants, orange sunglasses, a black mask and a winter hat. According to police, the man was last seen on foot on Mitchell Avenue. A K-9 unit was called to the scene as police searched the area. The investigation is ongoing.
