Police have arrested a man who allegedly broke into a home on Downs Avenue. On June 25th, police responded to 3 Downs Avenue around 2 o’clock in the morning after reports of shots fired. A woman living in the home said a man had broken through the front door and forced her on the roof before firing two gun shots. Police are saying that man is 20-year-old Marlon Singleton of Binghamton. Singleton was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree burglary. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and anyone with further information is urged to call the Binghamton Police Detective Division at 772-7080.
