Three years after the fire at the Midtown Mall in Binghamton devastated two buildings, the space has been renovated into student housing and is just about ready to be re-opened. Larry Gladstone purchased the properties at 83 Court Street and 517 Chenango Street looking to build apartments, but that dream was put on hold following the fire in late 2010. The apartments at the Court Street location are expected to be open for moving in next month, while the Chenango Street building should be ready by July. The entire project cost $15 million.
