Two alleged gang members in Binghamton were sent to prison following guilty pleas to federal drug trafficking charges. 47-year-old Jose Alicea and 23-year-old Victor Texidor were two of five accused Latin Kings gang members charged back in August of 2012 with conspiring to distribute narcotics including heroin and crack cocaine. Now the sentencing for both men have been announced, with Alicea sentenced to 12.5 years in federal prison and Texidor sentenced to five years in prison. In their plea deals, the men admitted to the distribution of 700 grams of crack cocaine, 300 grams of heroin, and one kilogram of cocaine in the Binghamton area. The drugs were reportedly shipped into Binghamton from suppliers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
