Various government and community leaders in Broome gathered yesterday to announce the introduction of two new services for those suffering from drug addiction. Peer advocate and family navigator services have been added to the offerings of the Addiction Center of Broome County. The newly introduced peer advocate program will help connect those currently suffering from addiction to the services they’d best benefit from. The family navigator program will help families with loved ones suffering from addiction to be better equipped to handle their situation. The new services are expected to begin June 1st.
