Nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9’s ran a fundraiser through Groupon that allowed for seven Broome County police dogs to receive bullet and stab-proof vests. All dogs working in the Binghamton and Johnson City Police Departments, as well as the Broome County Sheriff’s office, were equipped with the vests.
