The Broome County Land Bank was denied $5.2 million in state funding, but will look to make-do with a $150,000 grant from the State Attorney General’s Office. The not-for-profit group asked for the millions to help revitalize a number of properties in Broome County that had become local eyesores, including two former Endicott-Johnson factories. County officials say the bank will use the $150,000 grant to hire a full-time executive director, and will also conduct more property assessments in Broome County.
