An Endwell man is facing charges of arson after he was arrested last week. 21-year-old Dustin Mangino was arrested following a joint investigation by the New York State Police and the Broome County Fire Investigation Unit. Back on January 31st, State Police and the Endwell Fire Department responded to a working house fire around 9 o’clock at night at 2705 Yale Street. Investigators determined that the fire was recklessly caused by Mangino when he cooked Butane Hash Oil in the kitchen of his residence. Mangino suffered second degree burns to his face and arms. After a warrant was executed at the residence by members of the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, over two pounds of marijuana was seized. Mangino now faces a class D felony for criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree and a class E felony for arson in the fourth degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Union Court. The investigation is ongoing.
