Multiple fire departments responded to a working structure fire in Campville this morning. The fire, at 1691 Ford Road, was put out by firefighters from Campville, Apalachin, and Newark Valley. The house was home to a woman and her four children and they were able to safely escape. Multiple pets were also rescued from the home, including five dogs and two rabbits. Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the living room, but the home did suffer from extensive smoke and water damage. The Tioga County Fire Investigation team is looking into the cause of the fire. The family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
